Volunteer Services

The Volunteer Program at HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley

Ranging from high school students to working professionals and retirees, our volunteers contribute a vast diversity of talents and skills to their volunteer experience. The Volunteer Services department is comprised of a junior program (for individuals ages 14 to 17) and an adult program (for individuals ages 18 and above). 

                  **Please note the Junior Volunteer program is only available June-August**                           Applications for the 2017 summer volunteer program are no longer being accepted. 

Through a comprehensive application process, prospective volunteers are carefully evaluated and selected for positions that best match their abilities and suit their availability.This process can take up to 6 weeks for completion.

Volunteer Roles and Responsibilities
Volunteer roles and responsibilities are varied and may include: 
  • Greeting patients and visitors.
  • Assisting with patient transport.
  • Providing clerical and reception assistance.
  • Assisting in areas such as accounting, computer technology and other skills.
