Meet our Physicians

Alan Roy Baskin, MD

Hackensack University Medical Group Pascack Valley is proud to welcome Dr. Alan Baskin.Dr. Baskin received his medical degree from New York University School of Medicine after obtaining his undergraduate degree from the College of Arts and Sciences at the same institution.  He then pursued his medical training from Bellevue Hospital and Fitzsimmons General Army Hospital. It was after this training that he served as a Major in the United States Army while securing a certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine.  He later secured a certification from the American Board of Clinical Lipidology in 2005 after a number of appointments at hospitals in the area such as Englewood, Pascack Valley, and Columbia Presbyterian, having been an Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at their University for many years.

His memberships in professional societies include the National Lipid Association and appointments as a Diplomat of Clinical Lipidology, a Fellow of American College of Physicians, and the Former President of the New Jersey Society of Internal Medicine. To schedule an appointment with Dr. Baskin please call 201-385-6161.

Esther S. Hoffman, DO

Hackensack University Medical Group Pascack Valley is proud to welcome Esther S. Hoffman, DO to the group and to our 316 Knickerbocker Road office in Dumont, NJ. Dr. Hoffman earned her medical degree from NY College of Osteopathic Medicine. She performed her internship and residency at Jersey City Medical Center where she received the prestigious Lisa Dedousis MD Compassionate Care Intern Award. Dr. Hoffman is a member of The American College of Osteopathic Internists, The American Medical Association, and The American Osteopathic Association.

Dr. Hoffman believes that developing strong relationships with patients is key to ensuring that they get well and stay well. She works diligently to help patients understand their condition, treatments, and medications.
