Mommy University features a series of lectures designed to educate and provide support for soon-to-be parents or caregivers. To register for any of the below classes please call 877-848-WELL (9355). All lectures are free and conveniently located onsite in our Community Classroom.

Childbirth Preparation

This is a two part class by a Certified Lamaze Instructor covering the birthing process, comfort techniques for labor, the role of the labor support person and so much more. You have been waiting nine long months; let us help you prepare for your for your labor of love. We will discuss your journey: From the moment you arrive until you leave with your precious bundle.

Breastfeeding 101

Breastfeeding is the best source of infant nutrition and it provides remarkable health benefits to mothers as well as baby. Join us in this 2 hour class taught by our Lactation Consultant as we focus  on practical information and tips to promote a successful breastfeeding experience. Mothers will also learn what to expect during the first days after birth, how milk is made, latch-on techniques, pumping and storage, proper positioning and community resources.

If you are undecided about the method of feeding your infant, this class will help you make an informed decision. Dad/support person are encouraged to attend.

This is a free class; please register in advance as these classes can fill up quickly!

3rd Thursday of every month  7:00p-9:00p    

Newborn Care 101

A hands on class for soon to be parents or caregivers covering the basics of newborn care/appearance through the first month after birth. Includes:comfort techniques, swaddling, diapering, bathing and so much more! Dad/support person is encouraged to attend. 

4th Thursday of every month: 7:00p-9:00p

New Mommy Support Group

Bring your baby from birth to six months to this special group to share and learn in a friendly supportive atmosphere. Many topics will be covered including postpartum adjustment, feeding, burping, sleeping, gas and colic, normal newborn behavior, soothing fussy babies and so much more!
