Westwood, NJ – In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley has painted the nails on the community dedicated exterior statue PINK! The statue symbolizes the community brining the facility back after years of sitting vacant.  The hospital has painted the nails pink to remind women in the community to take their breast health seriously and schedule their yearly mammogram appointment.

“Breast Cancer Awareness Month is a time to remind women to take their breast health seriously,” said Chad Melton, CEO of HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley. “We know that many women are on-the-go with family, friends and their careers and too often their health takes a back seat.  With the opening of our new Breast Center, we hope that women in the community will take advantage of the convenience of this resource and schedule their annual mammogram.  Check-ups are integral to breast cancer detection.”

The Breast Center at HackensackUMC at Pascack Valley recently opened and is designed to offer women convenience with comprehensive breast health care including screening, early detection, diagnostic imaging services, specialist consultation for benign breast conditions and treatment of breast cancer in a warm, welcoming and patient friendly environment.
